OUR APPROACH TO COMEDY
At Fort Wayne Improv, we believe comedy is a trainable skill, not an innate talent reserved for natural performers. Our curriculum is built on low-stakes, highly-supportive frameworks designed to build confidence, sharpen listening skills, and encourage spontaneous collaboration.
Whether you’re hopping on stage for the first time, looking to sharpen your comedic writing, or simply wanting to communicate with more ease in everyday life, you don’t need stage experience or “funny” prep work. Just show up ready to support your scene partner and say “yes, and.”
UPCOMING CLASSES
- Pick an Intro Workshop: Start with any Intro workshop (LISTENING, AGREEING, CREATING, OBJECTS & ENVIRONMENT—take them in any order).
- Drop In: Check out a Sunday Community Jam if you’d prefer to see the space and meet our community first.
- Keep Playing: Once you complete the four Intro workshops and have the basics down, jump into Level 2 Drop-Ins.
- Writing: Check out our FREE Writers’ Room every Saturday morning.
